We will pick you up from your hotel/riad or Ouarzazate airport by an air-conditioning 4x4, Van or minibus, to start the sightseeing of Ouarzazate;a former caravan town on the silk and salt route in the eastern foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Ouarzazate is known as the Gateway to the Sahara, we will begin visiting the Taourirt kasbah former home of the famous Pasha Glaoui. The painted ceilings, arches, beautiful small windows with wrought iron works and woodwork have helped make it another UNESCO site. The local guide will explain lifestyle of the pasha in the former feudalistic Moroccan society, stressing the status of his women, the favourites and common-law wives as well as the slaves. After that we will drive outside the town to enjoy a private visit of the Atlas Corporation Studio, a well –known cinematographic centre renowned for blockbuster productions including Asterix and Cleopatre directed by Alain Chabat; and the Oscar-wining Gladiator, directed by Ridley Scott. Continue to the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, where we will have lunch and visit this a UNESCO world heritage site. The kasbah is one of the most intriguing red earth castles lining the ancient road of the Kasbahs. In the afternoon we once we are driving back to the city we will stop at Tifoultoute kasbah, located on a rock piton between wadi and palm plantation at 7km of the city, it is offering a great panoramic view of Ouarzazate river, also named Glaoui Kasbah... In the end of the day we will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport where the end of our service.
